Philadelphia Magazine’s 40th Anniversary of Best of Philly Names West Chester Your Next Best Staycation

Philadelphia Magazine‘s 40th anniversary of “Best of Philly” issue has just hit the stands—and, look at that!—West Chester has been named the Best of Philly Staycation. West Chester’s last mention on the list was in 2003, for Best New Shopping District.

The mag recommends: “Check into a cozy room at West Chester’s hospitable new Hotel Warner,” the perfect place to begin a weekend of “lazing around the bucolic Brandywine Valley.” Then walk downtown to indulge in a wide assortment of cuisine, “from oysters and seafood platters at Doc Magrogan’s Oyster House to craft beers and bar and bistro food at Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant.”

Looks like word is getting out about just how great the borough is. Go on, West Chester, pat yourselves on the back for a job well done!
