It’s time for pork fanatics to go beyond their love of consumption and learn more about the pre-consumption process. Swarthmore Co-op is providing the perfect opportunity to do just that with rock star butcher, Bryan Mayer. Join him on Wednesday, March 6 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. for a Pop-up Abattoir which will include a front row lesson on how to butcher a pig, make cuts, create your own sausage and more.
After the Demo, guests are asked to enjoy a Pop-up Bistro dinner featuring fresh made pork offerings by Swarthmore Co-op’s chef Brendan Dougherty and beer from Lancaster Brewing Company. In addition, all guests will receive equal share of the pig to cook at home in the days to come.
The cost to attend is $200 for Members or $225 for Future/Non-Members and includes a demo for one, Bistro for two, and cuts of pork to take home. Tickets and more details HERE.
