WC Story Slam Goes Wild in June

Going Wild?

“Into The Wild” is the theme of the next West Chester Story Slam, which takes place at Side Bar & Restaurant on Tuesday, June 11.

What does the theme  “Into the Wild” mean? According to the West Chester Story Slam’s website:

The word “wild” is key here. Sure, we would like to hear stories about the plains of the Serengeti, the peaks of Kilimanjaro and the base camp in Nepal, so bring your favorite outdoorsman story with you. Skiing in New England? Hiking in the Poconos? Kayaking at the Jersey Shore? These stories could be about survival, beauty or solitude. Stories about self discovery. The term “wild” can also be used in other situations that occur closer to home. Did you find yourself in the thick of a potential protest or riot? Perhaps you visited a frat house where the party got a bit out of hand? Everyone has a story where their lives have spun out of control—into the wild.

Take the stage to tell your story, or simply hang out and watch. Either way, the Story Slam is a unique event to enjoy with friends. Check it out to see why West Chester Story Slam was voted “Best Entertaining Night Out” last year by Main Line Today. Remember, you do not have to tell a story to enjoy the night, though here’s a word of warning: Folks who attend just to watch often end up jumping on stage and telling a story themselves.

The “Into The Wild” Story Slam is being held on Tuesday, May 11, at 8 p.m. Seating is limited; reserve your tickets here.
