Yanako Hosts Monthly “Ladies Night Out” Speaker Series

Ladies, check this out: Yanako is hosting a “Ladies Night Out Speaker Series” through September! Each month a different topic will be discussed, followed by a special menu of homestyle Japanese dishes created by Chef Moon. The series aims to unite passionate women from diverse backgrounds in a relaxed setting to discuss a range of critical issues affecting women. Each event will also put a spotlight on influential and accomplished local women who have flourished in their careers outside of mainstream opportunities.

Keynote by Kathleen O. Green, Program Director of the Barnes Foundation

Local highlights: Cara Graver of The Cob Studio and Colette Fu, photographer, educator and pop-up book artist

July 2: Women in Fashion

Keynote by Cheryl Ann Wadlington, Executive Director of Evoluer House

Keynote: Round Table Discussion

Local highlight: Eliabeth Delorey, founder of Manayunk Moms

September 3: Education

Attendees will receive a complimentary glass of wine as well as passed hors d’oeuvres before the event. The special three-course Speaker Series Menu, offered immediately after each discussion, will include Miso Soup or Garden Salad; your choice of Chicken Bento Box, Kawaii on’nanoko Roll, 6-piece Sushi Dinner with California Roll, or 10-piece Sashimi Dinner with Rice; and the Dessert of the Day.
