When Chestnut 7 closed its doors to the public last October after two years, many people were left wondering what would open up in its place. Now, a year later, it’s been announced that former Garces Group big-timer George Atterbury will be opening El Poquito in late 2014.
El Poquito will be a Mexican Cantina with a bar and a strong focus on the restaurant aspect of the business. The spot is hoping to draw in crowds of families with an affinity for Mexican cuisine. One addition that is particularly noteworthy is their plan to add parking options in the rear of the restaurant.
