Say you are “Netflixing” Season 2 of House of Cards and just can’t bear the thought of getting off of your sofa, let alone leaving your house, even though you are starving. You know there is nothing in your fridge and you don’t want to simply order a pizza or Chinese because you are trying to keep healthy—what you want is a big fruit salad and some Greek yogurt. What’s a desperate binge TV watcher to do? Lucky for Philadelphians, Instacart has arrived on the scene.
Instacart is a same-day grocery delivery service like no other around. The successful start-up has been delivering groceries in San Francisco, Chicago, Boston and Washington, D.C. with great success.
