The Mt. Airy neighborhood is about to get even better when Cantina Avenida opens its doors on May 27. Chef-owners Edgar and Kim Alvarez are sure to produce spectacular results with their new Latin restaurant and bar, which is set in a lovely, historic 1700s home.
Latin small plates will fill the menu and margaritas and mojitos will add the perfect accompaniment to the wide array of culinary items. The indoor/outdoor setting of Cantina Avenida will produce an ambience which draws individuals in and keeps them coming back for more.
Some of the items which will be featured on the menu include daily-changing salsa, house-made guacamole, crab nachos, mole fries, carnitas and much more. Small plate items will be in the $6-$15 range.
