Gone are the days when you had only three beer choices at Citizens Bank Park. Move over Coors Light. Local Pottstown brewery Sly Fox Brewing Company is sliding into home plate with this home run of an addition to the beer lineup at the ball park. Let us introduce to you the 360 IPA, set to be released on Friday, May 23.
The first detail to catch our eye is the lid—hence the term 360. Sly Fox pretty much has it all figured out with this novel concept in canning beer. The science behind it is that you taste with your nose first. With a 400% wider opening, this allows the aroma to be front and center, as if you were drinking from a glass.
The second noticeable difference is the size of the can. 16 ounces, Sly Fox? Don’t mind if we do! Enjoy even more of this 6.2% IPA at all home games this season. And with more ounces in every can, hopefully that leads to less time standing in line. You can thank Sly Fox later.
The last difference has to be the flavor. This particular IPA was taste-tested at last year’s Craft Brewers Conference in Washington, DC. Let’s just say, the people spoke. And Sly Fox listened.
