The competition is sure to be fierce at the BeerNERD Homebrew Battle taking place at Side Bar on August 29.
This homebrew event is more than just a competition among home brewers; it’s also a fundraising day for The Gift of Life Organ Donor Program in memory of fellow homebrewer Dan Glover. The competition will feature two teams, six brewers per team, who will compete with six unique local ingredients that have been assigned to both. Whichever team crafts the better brew using each ingredient will gain a point.
For those who want to watch the day’s events, tickets are $35 and include samples from a dozen homebrewers as well as Levante Brewing Company. Attendees will also have the opportunity to win door prizes.
