2SP Brewing Company is celebrating two fantastic years in business with a birthday bash on July 29 filled with new brews, outdoor games, live entertainment and much more.
It’s all going down from 3–9 p.m. The party will feature an afternoon filled with rare and limited beer releases, food truck fare from Abuelita’s Empanadas and The Plum Pit, lawn-style games of corn hole and giant jenga and live music by Chorduroy. In addition, guests will enjoy cake cutting festivities and the release of 2SP’s 2nd Anniversary Ale, a 6% ABV citrus-filled, Cascade hop-laden IPA made with 200 pounds of hops! This special brew will be on tap the entire night and available in cans to-go.
In addition to the 2nd Anniversary Ale, two other special limited beer releases will occur: Champagne Wit and Cranny Wit. At 4 p.m., guests will be offered a champagne toast featuring bottles of the Champagne Wit, a wit beer, barrel-aged in white wine barrels and then re-fermented with Champagne yeast. Later, at 5 p.m., the 2SP team will continue the celebration with the tapping of one keg of Cranny Wit, which is the 2SP Weiss Wit with cranberry juice.
“In two years, we have expanded beyond Philadelphia into Delaware, Massachusetts and overseas, Bob Barrar and Andrew ‘Ruby’ Rubenstein have won a gold and bronze medal at the Great American Beer Festival and we were one of the first breweries on the East coast to ship craft beer to Tokyo,” said Michael Contreras, director of sales and marketing. “We owe a lot of our expansions and success to our beer-loving fans and we are excited to be able to celebrate with the community and our supporters. The 2nd Anniversary Ale is for them.”
