With summer underway, the Philadelphia events calendar is in full swing, and this coming week is the perfect time to get out and start exploring all of the exciting happenings taking place throughout the city. From one-year anniversary parties to an IPA, champagne and rosé block party, your only problem will be figuring out how to fit all of these fabulous events on your calendar!
Cheese Flash Mob at Martha in Kensington (June 29)
Curd nerds: do we have an event for you! Hosted by local culinary personalities Matt Buddah and Tenaya Darlington, a.k.a. Madame Fromage, the cheese flash mob will take over Martha in Kensington from 6–9 p.m. on June 9. Bring your favorite hunk of cheese to share and Martha will provide the condiments and bread. There will also be plenty of enticing libations for sale at the bar. This is your opportunity to socialize with local cheese mongers, cheese aficionados and the renowned local cheese gang, the The Rennet Rough Riders, while sampling a wide array of unique cheeses. The event is free to attend (just be certain to bring a type of cheese to share) and no ticket is required for entry … just show up! 2113 E. York St., Philadelphia, (215) 867-8881
