An Evening of Cheese, Tea, Honey, Bread & Linens Awaits at Cuttalossa (Sept. 28)

A new season usually brings about a yearning for certain flavors. Celebrate the start of fall at Fall Tasting: An Evening of Cheese, Tea, Honey, Bread & Linens on Thursday, September 28, from 6:30‒8:30 p.m. at Cuttalossa in Old City. Enjoy a guided tasting as local purveyors share the details of each delicacy.

Alex Jones of Collective Creamery is bringing to the table four artisan cheeses from local women cheesemakers at Birchrun Hills Farm and Valley Milkhouse, while James Beard-nominated baker Alex Bois of Lost Bread Co. will be bringing freshly baked breads to nibble along with the cheese.

To wash down your tasty treats, tea consultant and writer Alexis Siemons of teaspoons & petals is offering up four teas featuring the classic tastes of autumn, and each tea will complement one of the four cheeses. Alexis is certified in the Foundations of Tea (Levels 1 and 2) from the Specialty Tea Institute, which is a division of the Tea Association of the USA.

Herb-infused honeys from Furnace Creek Farm will also be on hand, and everyone will get to take home the porcelain teacup from which they savored their tea.
