Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant is holding a special fundraising event on February 23 to support a memorial fund in honor of one of their own who passed away recently.
Iron Hill will be releasing LeBruce Saison in honor of former server Terrell L. Bruce. Terrell worked at four different locations during his career with the company, including the Chestnut Hill, Ardmore and North Wales, Pennsylvania, locations as well as the Maple Shade, New Jersey, locale. Terrell was a victim of gun violence in December 2016, leaving a permanent void in his Iron Hill family.
To honor his memory, the four Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant locations where Terrell worked will be offering this special saison beer, with $1 from every LeBruce sold during the event on February 23 benefiting the Terrell L. Bruce Memorial Foundation, created in his honor by his brother, Brandon. The foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides scholarship opportunities to students from economically, socially or culturally disadvantaged backgrounds and demonstrates a commitment to both community service and academic excellence.
In addition to the $1 donation from every LeBruce Saison sold during the event, Iron Hill will be hosting a Give20 night to donate 20% of food sales from each table that presents a partner coupon from the Terrell L. Bruce Memorial Foundation.
The special beer release is a bold saison with apricot fruit flavors and earthy spice tones. The recipe itself was created by Terrell and the Iron Hill brew team a few years back, and it seems only appropriate that his beer creation is released in his honor.
Visit any of the four Iron Hill locations (Chestnut Hill, North Wales, Ardmore and Maple Shade) on February 23 and help to raise money for a wonderful man whose motto was, “Be the change you want the world to be.”
