For those who dare to explore meats beyond the standard beef, poultry and pork, the upcoming Wild Game Dinner at Trattoria Totaro in Conshohocken offers the chance to taste alligator, rabbit, boar and more!
On Thursday, June 29, chef Vince Totaro will prepare a 5-course feast using wild game, seasonal vegetables and creative flavors sure to excite adventurous eaters. A sample of craft beer will also accompany each course. This limited engagement dinner costs $56 per person, plus tax and gratuity, and reservations are suggested.

First Course
Alligator gumbo with shrimp, scallops and okra
Salad Course
Duck, bacon and apple sausage served over arugula with grilled pineapple, purple onion, grape tomato, raspberry vinaigrette
Pasta Course
Lamb Bolognese with mushrooms in a classic blush sauce, tossed with homemade fettuccine and topped with shaved Reggianito cheese
Main Course
A sampling of bison strip steak with apricot sauce; grilled wild boar tenderloin with a blueberry reduction; Southern fried rabbit with pear sauce; wild boar rack with a mango habanero glaze
Dessert Course
A sampling of cannoli, biscotti, Italian cookies and pizzelles
