Nourish PA: Tuna and Cabbage Salad

Tuna and Cabbage Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 (5-ounce) cans tuna in water, drained
  • 1/2 small head of purple cabbage, shredded (about 4 cups)
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar, such as apple cider vinegar, red wine vinegar or white wine vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil, or canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon spice blend such as Mrs. Dash Original Blend

Method

  1. Combine drained tuna, cabbage and carrots in a large bowl.
  2. Mix vinegar, oil, and spices separately and then add to the tuna mixture. Mix well.
  3. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
