On August 21, enjoy a day at the Delaware Museum of Natural History and be a guest at its Solar Eclipse Party, where guests will enjoy solar eclipse stories, NASA eclipse live stream viewing and, of course, a chance to view the solar eclipse from the museum grounds.
This rain-or-shine event will be taking place throughout the day and is free with a museum admission fee. The ultimate highlight of the day will take place at 2:43:47, when the partial solar eclipse is at its peak.
For those who wish to view the eclipse, the museum will be distributing wristbands for $10 first thing Monday morning, which will provide individuals with a pair of glasses at the time of the eclipse. There are only 100 pairs of eclipse-viewing glasses up for sale, so be sure to get to the museum as early as possible that day to secure a proper pair of viewing glasses.
Spend the day exploring the museum and learning all about solar eclipses, in addition to viewing the big event when it occurs!
