Last month, the first meeting of Yangming’s Tasty Talks Luncheon Series took place with Marilyn Russell of 98.1 WOGL as its guest speaker. For the lunch series’ second installment on Wednesday, October 25, CBS 3 Eyewitness News co-anchor Jim Donovan takes the podium for a discussion on his career and public service efforts.
The luncheon will begin at 1 p.m., and guests will enjoy a prix fixe meal including hors d’oeuvres, an entrée and dessert. Alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages are extra.
Jim Donovan has earned 15 Emmy Awards and 20 Emmy nominations, and was recently inducted into Philadelphia’s Hall of Fame as a Broadcast Pioneer. Jim is well-known outside of the broadcast realm for his generosity with area causes and nonprofits, having notably launched a phone bank that raised over $1 million dollars in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Jim regularly lends his time to numerous charities, including MANNA, CARIE and the Mazzoni Center.
“I am honored to have Jim Donovan here at Yangming,” said Michael Wei, owner of Yangming. “We expect another sellout for this popular and inspiring speaker. I would also like to thank Michelle Leonard for her organizing efforts and help with connecting Yangming to our local community.”
The cost is $20 per person in advance ($25 at the door, should tickets remain) and includes the conversation, hors d’oeuvres, entree, dessert, tax and tip. As an added bonus, all proceeds from the event will be donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation!
