Coming Soon to Harrisburg, PA: Millworks Restaurant

Is it March yet? When we caught wind of The Millworks restaurant’s opening mid-March at 340 Verbeke Street in Harrisburg, we just had to know more. Owner Joshua Kesler describes his venture as “new rustic American”; in addition to his partnership with the Harvest stand at the Broad Street Market, diners can expect to find about 20 Pennsylvania craft beers, locally sourced spirits for hand-crafted seasonal cocktails, walls decorated with local artwork and an abundance of local ingredients to help create his vision of a sustainable restaurant.

Doors will open to the public on March 12, when Kesler plans to be in attendance for a ribbon cutting with Mayor Eric Papenfuse at 3 p.m. celebrating his once vision turned brick-and-mortar reality. The 100-seat restaurant will also feature a 50-seat Biergarten with a rooftop terrace to be added come summer. Kesler noted that the menu will be on the small side with about 20 items offered at one time. Guests can expect an eclectic mix of entreès, small plates and house made flatbreads.
