Anthony Della Porta, the lively force behind the favored Conshohocken-based ice cream shop, SCOOPS (found at 515 Fayette Street), will debut his second location in Bryn Mawr at 1000 Lancaster Avenue on Friday, March 30th. This sweet addition to downtown Bryn Mawr will take over the former space of Bryn Mawr Ice, a location just two blocks from the Bryn Mawr Theater.
The new SCOOPS will serve 32 revolving flavors of ice cream, which includes old standards like Mint Chocolate Chip and Butter Pecan, along with a sinfully-divine rotating lineup that highlights creations like Graham Slam, Coconut Almond Joy and Peanut Butter Cup. SCOOPS will also offer homemade water ice, hand dipped frozen yogurt, milk shakes and specialty sundaes.
Della Porta, a 34 year old Roxborough native and Temple Business graduate, has owned and operated SCOOPS on Fayette Street in Conshohocken since 2007, which he purchased from his family.
The brand-new SCOOPS will be open 7 days a week from 3 – 10 pm through June 15th. Following June 15, hours will be updated to noon – 10pm, Monday – Sunday, until Labor Day.
