Trattoria San Nicola invites Main Line residents for a night of masterful arts and classic Italian cuisine during its fourth Plein Air Evening on Wednesday, May 18 at 6 pm. In an ongoing effort to bring the arts into the community, the restaurant will feature local artist, Anita McGinn-Natali. While dining, patrons can watch as McGinn-Natali paints a remarkable spring-inspired masterpiece just feet away from their dinner table.
During the dinner, McGinn-Natali will talk briefly about her works and her artistic career. As the evening concludes, her artwork will be put up for silent auction and, throughout the next several weeks, dining guests will have the opportunity to bid on the painting. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to a local charitable organization.
Anita McGinn-Natali is an accomplished fine-art oil painter whose artistic career has included work in television, freelance assignments in design, illustration and teaching, and corporate work as a member of the in-house advertising agency for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. She is now a full-time painter whose works are shown in numerous private collections throughout the United States and Australia, as well as locally.
“We are thrilled to have Anita as our spotlight painter for the upcoming Plein Air Evening,” said Trattoria San Nicola co-owner Cristina Giannandrea. “Guests really enjoy the Plein Air Evenings series because it provides guests with a uniquely intimate experience. The combination of fine dining and fine art is like sensory overload, in the best way possible.”
Throughout the evening, Chef Vito Giannandrea’s full menu will be available and guests can enjoy traditional dishes like Bruschetta al Pomodoro e Mozzarella, Linguine Veneziane and Scaloppine di Vitello Siciliana. The event is open seating, but space is limited—so guests should make their reservations early to ensure they receive the best seats in the house.
