On May 2, Harry Ochs Prime Meats, a 105-year-running merchant at Reading Terminal Market, said farewell to the hustle and bustle of RTM. Nick Ochs, third-generation owner of Harry Ochs Prime Meats, has since relocated and opened a new location at Main Street Market in Manayunk.
Details as to why Harry Ochs left the market were detailed in a recent article over at Philadelphia Business Journal, where Nick Ochs stated, “I decided it was best to close our shop at Reading Terminal Market now, after 105 years, because of many of the personnel and policy changes at the market in the past few years.”
