Phoenixville Area High School Senior Supports Cat Angel Network For Her School Project, You Can Too!

Phoenixville Area High School student Keighley Young recently shared with us details on her high school senior project. The local senior is making great efforts in supporting an even greater animal-friendly cause – raising bottle-fed kittens for Cat Angel Network, a no-kill cat rescue based in Stowe.

Since July, Keighley has volunteered to bottle-feed five rescued kittens from various litters around the clock, as part of her high school senior project.

As pictured to the right with Keighley, the bottle-fed Cricket was rescued by a caring person who found three abandoned, desperately-ill kittens in a North Coventry backyard.  Sadly, Cricket’s two siblings passed within 24 hours but Cricket thrived in her foster home.

With her love for animals, Keighley will continue to support Cat Angel Network through the year, raising rescued kittens and documenting her experiences for her senior project.

Want to assist the local student in supporting her go-to cause?

Cat Angel will hold it’s annual auction on Sunday, Oct. 23 beginning at 2 pm  at the West Chester Senior Center. Keighley is looking for donations of prizes, gift cards, etc., for both the silent auction and the live auction. Silent auction items should have a perceived value of at least $25, while live auction items can be of higher value.

To participate in the auction, or for more information about Cat Angel Network, please contact Laura Schwartz at [email protected]. More information on the Cat Angel organization is available by visiting catangel.org.
