Start your Fourth of July weekend off right by celebrating three Bridge Street-based businesses all in one spot during the area’s First Friday festivities!
For the evening of Friday, July 1, Daddy Mims’ Creole will host a four-course special tasting menu, all of which will be paired with Black Walnut Winery’s top-notch, locally-produced wines. Daddy Mims’ heavenly-scented neighbor, Bridge Street Chocolates, will also join in for the decadent dining experience by offering some of their artisan chocolate creations as the last course (the chocolates will too be paired with Black Walnut’s wine). The cost of the multi-course meal is $55 per person.
The menu and wine pairings are as follows:
First Course
butter-poached lobster salad topped with lemon thyme vinaigrette
paired with 2007 Chardonnay
Second Course
blackened bass topped with crabmeat butter over sauteed spinach
paired with 2008 Pinot Gris Off-Dry
Third Course
grilled filet mignon topped with red wine chocolate demi glace over lobster chive mashed potatoes
paired with 2008 Merlot
Fourth Course
plate of Bridge Street Chocolates
paired with 2008 More Than ‘M’ port-style wine
