In September 2013, the Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania and the Board of Directors of Chester County Hospital announced the hospital would join Penn Medicine’s health system—it’s only hospital in suburban Philadelphia. This new relationship will give local patients greater access to a wider range of medical services.
For 120 years, Chester County Hospital has served our community with the highest quality health care, and now, as part of Penn Medicine, they will have the resources and expertise of one of the top academic health systems in the country right here in Chester County. They will blend the best of Chester County Hospital with the remarkable achievements of Penn Medicine to create one of the leading hospitals in the Philadelphia suburbs.
For more information about the joining of the two health systems, see Chester County Hospital’s website.
