Thanks to one of our great local friends, Nina Malone, Salmon Spring Rolls will soon return to the menu at Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant (3 W. Gay St., West Chester).
If you have dined at any Iron Hill location, you may have noticed that they like to switch things up, including their seasonally-inspired menus. But, when they removed Salmon Spring Rolls during their recent menu switch, Nina put the pedal to the metal and led a social media revolt, all in hopes to get her prized appetizer back on the menu.
And, it worked. Nina’s Twitter campaign created an upswell of outrage from mutual Salmon Spring Roll lovers (all using a Twitter hashtag of #SSR), leading Iron Hill’s top-notch culinary team to be convinced that the Salmon Spring Rolls deserved another shot on their upcoming Fall Menu. Better yet, they had even invited Malone to guest blog to announce their return.
So, click here and read her full report. If you love the seafood goodness like Nina or if you are now dying to try them, be sure to attend the organized tweet up to celebrate! Also note, at the “Support the Salmon Spring Rolls!” event on Sept. 22, 5 to 7 pm, Nina will be spreading some Iron Hill love via a gift card giveaway. The first 10 people who find Ms. Malone at the event and show her their plate of spring rolls and say “I want to be a Salmon Spring Roll Stalker” will get a $25 Iron Hill gift card.
And, it must be said, this situation is a grand example of the power of social media. Cheers Nina!
