This year, instead of buying your mom flowers that will soon wilt and a card that she’ll feel guilty about throwing away in five years, why don’t you do something else? Stick with a traditional fun meal out, and do something you haven’t done before!
WC Dish’s Mother’s Day Recommendations are as follows…
Brunch
Try Avalon Restaurant’s Mother’s Day Brunch from 10 am to 2 pm . Enjoy
the buffet of salads, oysters, muffins and pastries, along with a
specially prepared breakfast entree (choose from three kinds of eggs
benedict, brioche french toast, frittata, pan-seared salmon,
pescatore, etc) and yummy desserts. . Grab a drink from the Create
Your Own Bloody Mary bar – for mothers with grown children, this can
make the rest of the day much more fun! This three course menu is $29
per person, and reservations are suggested.

Or, step out of the town’s immediate boundaries and check out
Brandywine Prime Seafood and Chops at the Chadd’s Ford Inn. Now
serving Sunday Brunch, they offer breakfast breads, soups, omelettes,
and crab cakes. Their tastiest sounding dishes? The carmelized banana
pancakes and the black magic cake! They also serve cheese and
charcuterie (cut meat) trays of herbed goat cheese, manchego,
reggiano, bresaola, proscuitto, and sopresata. End breakfast with a
Pomegranate Bellini or a Mimosa with fresh squeezed OJ – delicious!
