It was a long, hard winter, and all of us are reveling in the sun on our faces, the warm air on our skin and frosty drinks in our hands—and don’t forget happy hour!
One of the best things about downtown Phoenixville is its angle to the sunset—meaning that you can dine and drink outdoors and watch the sun go down with little glare behind the buildings.
From the Picky to Sips, just about every eatery on Bridge Street has a little place to sit, savor and relax. We’ll toast to that!
Pickering Creek Inn
The Pickering Creek Inn has a wonderful covered outdoor space with live music to supplement its selection of excellent craft beer, along with plenty of parking out back. Plus, it’s at the end of town, so on First Friday you can hightail it over the bridge. 37 Bridge St., (610) 933-9962
Bluebird Distilling
Settle in on cute benches in the new outdoor space at Bluebird, complete with holders for your bespoke cocktails under the Phoenixville mural. 100 Bridge St., (610) 933-7827
Buho’s Latin Fusion & Bar
Head across the street to Buho’s, where Latin fusion cuisine shines both inside and outdoors under colorful lights and patio tables. This is a fabulous spot for patrons to watch the world go by and listen to live music on the weekends. 101 Bridge St., (610) 415-1972
Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant
On the other side of the street resides craft beer and food mecca Iron Hill, which kicked off outdoor beer and food enjoyment in Phoenixville. Enjoy the patio alongside the building from lunch to closing. 130 Bridge St., (610) 983-9333
Marly’s
For an intimate experience, relax in Marly’s warm and inviting back courtyard. This little oasis away from the street feels like someone’s backyard where they serve you excellent food and desserts. 106 Bridge St., 610-933-7471
Great American Pub
The Great American Pub is working it! Where there was once a parking lot is now a wide, open, vibrant space that attracts many to relax, drink, dine and enjoy the evening. This multi-use space with clever covered gliders serves up excellent dishes and is family-friendly. 148 Bridge St., (610) 917-3333
Stable 12 Brewing
A bit further down Bridge, Stable 12 has opened the town’s outdoor beer garden, where craft brews and apps are on tap all night long. Enjoy live music and games during the weekends. Rustic picnic tables, strung-up lights and a stage create a festive atmosphere for local folks to slake their thirst. 368 Bridge St., (610) 715-2665
Other Spots on Bridge Street
Head to the patio at Sips (400 Bridge St.) to indulge in French cuisine and catch some European football. The Barrel (222 Bridge St.), Steel City (203 Bridge St.), Bistro on Bridge (208 Bridge St.), The Black Lab Bistro (248 Bridge St.), Pepperoncini (184 Bridge St.) and PJ Ryan’s (233 Bridge St.) all have comfortable outdoor seating with table service, as does Molly Maguire’s (197 Bridge St.) and the Fenix Bar (193 Bridge St.), both of which offer live music.
Just Outside of Town
We just couldn’t leave out Fitzwater Station! Enjoy an afternoon kayaking, then dine and relax overlooking the canal on the wide wooden deck while you watch the sun sink beneath the trees. 264 Canal St., (610) 933-1420
