The Historic Farnsworth House Inn is hosting a Civil War Feast and reading of A Christmas Carol on Sunday, December 11, at 7 p.m.
Dine on a five-course meal including pickled watermelon rinds, Jennie Wade and Spoon Bread, peanut soup and a side salad with house Amish sweet and sour dressing. Entrée selections include game pie, chicken pot pie or herb chicken. Finish your meal with bread pudding for dessert.
One of Farnsworth House Inn’s seasoned storytellers will share the amazing Christmas classic A Christmas Carol while you dine. Listening to the story about Scrooge, Tiny Tim and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future in such a historic setting will certainly evoke the true spirit of the season.
