BELGIUM COMES TO WEST CHESTER
 
WEST CHESTER, PA – On Saturday, January 26, at 4 pm, head brewer Chris LaPierre will bring together the East Coast’s finest craft brewers at Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, located at 3 West Gay Street, for his annual event that celebrates Belgium beers. Guests will meet the brewers, discover new Belgium styles and can enjoy a three-course menu paired with a variety of Belgian beers selected by LaPierre.
 “Belgian style beers are at the center of the craft beer movement right now and both male and female beer lovers are embracing this style,” says LaPierre, who will be pouring his Heywood;  Quadfather and the award-winning Cannibal. 
Each brewer from Iron Hill’s six other area locations will bring a Belgian style beer including:  Barrel Aged Imperial Wit;  Flemish Red;  Cannibal Nocturnum;  Fe10 and more.  Beer drinkers will also enjoy Belgians from visiting breweries including:  Dubbel by Stoudt’s Brewing Company;  Stumbling Monk by Stewart’s Brewing Company;  Saison by Sly Fox Brewery;  Wild Ale and Belgian Brown Ale by Boston based Harpoon Brewery;  Abbey Blonde Ale by General Lafayette Inn & Brewery;  Bourbon Abbey Dubbel by Flying Fish Brewing Company;  Mad Elf by Troeg’s Brewing Company;  Otay by Nodding Head Brewery and Restaurant;  Abbey 6 from Victory Brewing Company;  Imperial Wit by Dock Street Brewery and more.  In the main dining room, a three-course menu Belgian beer dinner paired with a selection of the featured Belgian beers, will be available for $40 per person, not including tax and gratitudy.
“This is a great opportunity for beer fans to see the unique Belgian style beers being brewed in the region, all in one place,” says Mark Edelson, Director of Brewing Operations.
Since its inception in 1996, Iron Hill has consistently been recognized for its outstanding beers and cuisine, including 101 “Best of” awards from regional magazines including “Best Brewpub 2006” from Philadelphia Magazine.  Iron Hill was named Large Brewpub of the Year 2005 at the prestigious Great American Beer Festival (GABF).  In total, their award-winning handcrafted beers have received 31 medals from the GABF, World Beer Cup and Real Ale Festival.
