ACCLAIMED BYOB MARIGOLD KITCHEN ANNOUNCES SUNDAY BRUNCH, DINNER DEAL

PHILADELPHIA, PA – One of Philadelphia’s most acclaimed BYOBs, Marigold Kitchen (501 S. 45th Street, 215-222-3699) is now serving a Southern-inspired brunch menu created by Executive Chef Erin O’Shea. It is the first time that O’Shea’s much-praised cooking is available to guests beyond dinner hours.

“I’m so excited by our brunch menu,” says O’Shea. “Southern food is comfort food, so it’s a natural style to adapt to brunch items. It’s a great new way for people to join us at Marigold Kitchen and enjoy a warm, hospitable meal.”

Brunch items range in price from $9 to $12, and include: Coddled Eggs with Virginia ham, spinach cream and warm cornbread; Maple Glazed, Hot Smoked Salmon with poached egg and potato casserole; Surry Sausage and Mushroom Bread Pudding alongside Granny Smith apple and pecan salad; Stewed Okra and Beecher Cheddar Frittata with potato casserole; and Brioche French Toast with cardamom-poached apples and Highland Country maple whipped cream.

“When I thought about the kind of brunch we should serve at Marigold, I envisioned something homey, with lots of comforting flavors,” says Chef O’Shea. “Like all of our food here, these items reflect my Southern culinary heritage and celebrate the bounty of the season with the freshest ingredients.”

For those who prefer to sleep in, Marigold offers 3 for $30 prix-fixe dinners every Sunday night. For $30, diners are treated to a three-course meal from Marigold’s dinner menu, one appetizer, one entrée and one dessert.

Marigold Kitchen is owned by restaurateur Steven Cook, whose other restaurants include Xochitl, serving authentic Mexican fare, and Zahav, Philadelphia’s only modern Israeli restaurant. Marigold Kitchen serves brunch every Sunday, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. They also serve dinner Tuesday through Sunday, beginning at 5:30 p.m. For more information, or to make a reservation, please call (215) 222-3699 or visit them online at www.marigoldkitchenbyob.com.
