This is one of best times of the year to create a new menu and Chef David Kiser’s new summer menu will not disappoint. Offering an array of creative and inspired dishes, incorporating the region’s best seasonal produce including herbs, fruits, other produce and cheeses from local farms in the West Chester Area.
Avalon’s newest addition, a “Hand Carved Cheese & Charcuterie Table” now carries nine cheeses from smaller seasonal production farms and five cured meats both local and imported. Stop in this month and enjoy a cured meat and mixed cheese plate, our three course menu starting at $25 and a complimentary carafe of wine (available Sunday thru Thursday) all while sitting on our serene private outdoor courtyard!

Haystack Mountain Sunlight – Raw Goat from Colorado. Semi-firm
cheese made with a washed rind that adds some floral subtleties
with a milky almond finish. Served with Strawberry Jam.
Shellbark Hollow Sharp Goat – Goat’s milk from West Chester, PA.
This family farm began producing cheeses as a hobby with a herd of
Two. Now it has grown to Encompass a large variety of Goat Milk
products. Served with Amerena Wild Cherries.
Beemster Graskaas – Seasonal cow’s milk Gouda made from only
the spring milk which emits a very clean and herbaceous aroma.
The texture covers the whole palette and the taste is sweet
and mild. Served with Mustard Fruits.
Bertozzi “Riserva” Reggiano – Raw Cow from Emilia Romagna.
Widely considered by Parmigiano experts to be the finest quality
Reggiano available. The Bertozzi company in Italy hand picks the
finest Parmigiano wheels from all Reggiano manufacturers and
stamps the Bertozzi brand onto the rind and they’re usually aged
a minimum of 3 years. Served with 12 year Balsamic.
Gorgonzola Cremifacto – Cow’s milk from Lombardy, Italy. This
extra creamy style gorgonzola is made from a single day’s curd and
brined repeatedly. Served with Fig – Balsamic jam.
Cacciotta Di Roma – Mild sheep’s milk flavor. Great for antipasto
platters, pair with hot peppers, olives, pickles and salami.
Served with Truffled Honey & Candied Pecans.
Manchego Anejo – Sharper and harder in texture to the Curado
Manchego, it also has a nuttier flavor with complexities of toasted
almonds and ripe olives. Served with Smoked Sea Salt.
