I Just Wanted to Make a Smoothie

Like most foodies, I woke up on Sunday morning and before me feet touched the floor, I figured out what I wanted for breakfast.

“Today, I think I’ll make a smoothie.”

I headed to my appliance closet, because there is no room in our kitchen for all my culinary gadgets, and dusted off the blender.

And, I set out to the kitchen to make a smoothie.

1 ripe banana
¼ cup of fat-free vanilla yogurt (Stonyfield Brand is the best!)
½ cup of frozen strawberries
½ cup of frozen peaches
½ cup of fat-free milk
½ cup of ice

Add all the ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth.

Cupboard check:
Banana….no… but that’s okay. I’m not a big banana fan anyway. May have to add extra fruit later on.

Yogurt….check

Strawberries….check

Peaches…check

Milk….nope… empty milk container on counter. Victim of my husband’s breakfast.

Okay, I’m not sure if I can get around this one. More yogurt maybe?

Ice…go to the freezer. No trays. I spot the missing trays sitting out on top of the refrigerator. This can’t be good. I pick them up and the water from the melted ice proceeds to pour on my head and jammies. The ice was another victim of my husband.

Dry cereal it is.
