“NO BASTING, JUST TASTING” THANKSGIVING DINNER

PHILADELPHIA, PA – On Thanksgiving Day, November 27, from 4 until 7 p.m., beloved Fairmount restaurant London Grill (2301 Fairmount Avenue, 215-978-4545) will offer a festive Thanksgiving buffet created by Chef Michael McNally. For $35 ($20 for children 11 and under), guests can enjoy an all-you-can-eat meal of holiday favorites.

“Thanksgiving Day should be spent eating a great meal with you family – but that doesn’t have to mean slaving away over a hot stove for three days,” says owner Terry Berch McNally. “Our buffet allows our guests to eat until they’re stuffed without using their time to create their meal.”

Served throughout London Grill’s bar, main dining rooms and private dining room, the Thanksgiving buffet includes Roasted Heirloom Turkey, Sausage-Cornbread Stuffing, Hoppin’ Jon’s Stoneground Grits, Sweet Potato Casserole with marshmallows and Autumn Greens and Collards with raisins and pine nuts, as well as a selection of Desserts. American wines, autumn beers, cider and cranberry cocktails will also be available. Reservations are required; prices do not include alcohol, tax or gratuity. Private space is also available for larger groups; please call ahead.

“When there’s an autumn chill in the air, a hearty meal with good company is a perfect way to spend this special evening,” says McNally. “Thanksgiving is a great excuse to do just that, and we’ve made it even easier by doing all the cooking.”

Striking a perfect balance between a cozy neighborhood pub and fine dining restaurant, London Grill has remained one of the city’s most popular destinations since 1991. Located in the historic Fairmount neighborhood, a short walk form the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Franklin Institute and its neighboring museums, the beloved restaurant and bar has gained a reputation for its creative menus, which draw on American comfort favorites and cuisines from around the world.

London Grill has been featured in Bon Appetit, CNN, US Airways Magazine and Philadelphia magazine. In his review, Philadelphia Inquirer critic Craig LaBan wrote, “You can’t get this kind of cooking in most neighborhood restaurants, but the London Grill pulls it off with a blend of laid-back ambience and quality food that sits just right.” For more information or reservations, please call (215) 978-4545 or visit their website at www.londongrill.com.
