The coolest service group for young professionals has officially launched in WC! Yours truly is President of this group, so I wanted to be sure to share all of the excitement with all of you. Here I am making an awkward speech about our new group…although it looks like I’m only talking to the bartender and some other guy in the corner. I swear there was a big group of people there…and I was picturing them all naked (Just kidding – the wine helped calm my nerves for the speech.).

The West Chester Rotaract Club held its Charter Night poolside at the ACAC Fitness and Wellness Center, Thursday, September 18, 2008. The event marked a special occasion for one of the area’s newest Rotaracts not only for establishing it in the Rotary family but for bringing together local Rotarians from various clubs for an upscale social occasion.
The evening’s guests enjoyed served cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while mingling, sharing ideas and networking around the lower poolside area. The evening’s host, West Chester Rotaract Club President Mary Bigham, proudly accepted the charter from Rotarian John Schwab. Other notable guests included District Governor Joel Chesney.
The West Chester Rotaract Club extends a warm thank you to all attendees of the Charter Night event and looks forward to being an active part of the Rotary family.
The West Chester Rotaract Club is a nonprofit, nonpolitical, international volunteer service organization of students and young professionals. Rotaract has participated in West Chester Park Cleanup, the Dine About Fundraiser benefiting Chester County Cares and the Big Wheel Bar Crawl Fundraiser.
