From my friend Claire….
I wanted to let you know about two upcoming concerts. The first is part of the free summer concert series in Anson B Nixon Park Kennett Square, PA (see www.ansonbnixonpark.org for details) this Wednesday, June 25th at 7PM with one of my favorite local musicians Chris Kasper—to check out Chris’ music go to www.myspace.com/chriskasper. Even if you are not that into music the park is a lovely place to hangout and during the concert seris you will have the opportunity to purchase a picnic dinner from the kennett inn and/or ice cream from the amazing mexican ice cream store–La Michoacana (you are also welcome to bring a picnic).
The second event is the Camphill Kimberton Hills Hootenanny this Saturday, June 28th from 4-10PM. Once again Chris Kasper will be playing (I am not the only one who is a huge chris kasper fan) along with Wissahickon Chicken Shack, Carsie Blanton, The Spinning Leaves, Llama Dalis and more. For more information check out www.myspace.com/kimbertonhootenanny or www.camphillkimberton.org/hootenanny. If you are not familiar with the concept of a camphill village I recommend you checking out www.camphillkimberton.org. Its such a beautiful spot and with delicious food from the Camphill Cafe available–its well worth the drive and ticket price for the setting and opportunity to support this great facility–the music is an added bonus.
So load up your family, your hula hoops, bring a picnic, and even your dog is allowed at the Anson B Nixon concert series (not the hootenanny) and join us for some great music. Please spread the word. Hope to see you all at one or both of these concerts.
