Local Celebrities Try Their Hand at Cow Milking

The Kimberton Fair recently announces a new contest being added to this year’s lineup of fun-filled free entertainment, running July 26 to July 31 — The First Annual Celebrity Cow Milking  Contest.

Here’s what they reveal about their new event:

Think milking a cow is easy?  Local celebrities will see if that’s true as they vie for the title of “2010 Expert Cowhand” by hand milking a cow. The celebrity with the most milk wins!

Scheduled competitors include Kim Cooley, Executive Director of the Phoenixville Chamber of Commerce;  Adam Deveney from Phoenixville Kiwanis; Senator Andy Dinniman;  Janet Hunter from Stepping Stone Education Center of Phoenixville; Phoenixville’s famous “Santa”, Tom Mitchell; and new Phoenixville High School Principal Craig Parkinson.

The public is encouraged to stop on down at the Livestock Show ring on Thursday, July 29 at 8:30 p.m. and root for their favorite competitor.
