Mango Moon Launches First Annual Manayunk EcoArts Festival

Have you heard about the First Annual Manayunk EcoArts Festival??

It’s an extension of the 21-year-old Manayunk Arts Festival, which will celebrate artistic, sustainable, and local green initiatives. Don’t miss out!

Where and when does the fun begin??

The launch of The Eco Arts Festival will be celebrated at Mango Moon (4161 Main St. in Manayunk), on Thurs., Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m.  This “green carpet event” will be hosted by Manayunk Development Corporation, Green Drinks Philly and Nicole Miller Philadelphia.

Listen to jazz and enjoy mouth-watering appetizers such as crab wontons, fried taro root and rice crackers with Thai salsa (made with vegetables from Chef Moon’s garden and the local co-op).

Sip on one of two specially created drink specials:
The Green Lantern: Gin infused with guava flavored candy, topped off with fresh lime and sprite

Steep Party: Penn 1681 (Philadelphia Distilling) vodka infused with Hibiscus and citrus lemongrass tea leaves (Mug Shots), finished with lemon

Mayor Michael A. Nutter and Councilman Curtis Jones Jr. are tentatively attending the launch to accept one of three Eco Champion Awards, developed to recognize inspirational Philadelphians who have raised the profile of sustainability and green living through personal and professional commitment.
