Hello everyone! Wow its HOT!!! Do you like this weather? Our pepper garden has seen the plants pushing upward and outward and creating a canopy of leaves to protect the precious peppers that are beginning to form. Isn’t it fun to watch your garden grow? I remember as a kid one of the best things about coming back home from a vacation was to see how much the garden had grown while we were gone. We have chile peppers growing in 4 locations now and so far things are going well at all of our plots.
Our Featured product this week will be our Peach Mango Habanero Jam. This is our best selling pepper jam and this week we’ll have plenty for you to sample. This is wonderful with a nice soft cheese and crackers, on a bagel/toast, as a glaze on fish/seafood/pork/chicken. Stop by our booth and try a free taste.
We will have some of our amazing Ornamental Peppers available this week: NuMex Centennial – beautiful green/purple foliage with purple blossoms bringing upright purple peppers that turn yellow, orange and finally red. Available in single units and potted arrangements. Also, another ornamental pepper we’ll have is NuMex Twilight – this is a beautiful gumdrop shaped pepper that goes through five different colors, from green to purple, then yellow to orange followed by red. Such an amazing splash of color when in full bloom. Available in single units and potted arrangements.
Coming Next Week – first of our fresh peppers – beautiful Red Fresno and Jalapeno peppers, available by the pint.
Coming Soon (hopefully next week) – our famous Jalapeno Sweet Relish. We’re hopeful to have this available within the next week or two, dependant on our production schedule and some things that are ahead of it. Stay tuned for the return of this long awaited product. It looks like we’re in for the hottest day of the year this Saturday so come on out to the market early to beat the heat and get the best selection of all your favorite products.
