The Mercury published an article on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 reporting that The Schuylkill River Heritage Area along with Natural Lands Trust awarded nearly $100,000 in mini-grants to a total of 10 regional projects that support the tourism and conservation efforts in the Schuylkill Highlands. One such mini-grant was awarded to Phoenixville Borough in the amount of $10,000 for easements to complete the Schuylkill River Trail within the borough.
