The Brandywine Ballet, with the help of PA Eats team, will present an affair to remember that blends gourmet with ballet on Sunday, October 16 from 5 – 8 pm at Faunbrook Bed & Breakfast (699 Rosedale Ave., West Chester).
The upcoming “Taste of the Season” fundraising event, with proceeds to benefit Brandywine Ballet, will offer a sophisticated evening for foodies and art lovers alike, pairing incredible eats and wine aside a sneak peek of the upcoming 2011–2012 performing season of the local, established dance organization.
Guests will have the opportunity to taste their way through notable Chester County restaurants, each of which will host a themed tasting station that reflects the upcoming performances of Brandywine Ballet’s season. Avalon‘s Chef John Brandt-Lee will sculpt a Phantom-inspired display, while Side Bar & Restaurant is delighted to be bringing Mozart Requiem to life in their one-of-a-kind dinner set-up. Gilmore’s Restaurant will hone their kitchen skills in to parlay Beauty & the Beast in their eats, and for Arianna’s Gourmet Cafe, they’ll make the evening’s dessert dance as they create an edible rendition of the Nutcracker.
To enhance the evening’s artistic tasting experience, Brandywine Ballet’s dancers will be in character and in full costume, one from each of the ballets that are represented via the above-mentioned restaurants. The skillful performers will be circulating the event, occasionally stopping to perform live ballet poses and demonstrations for guests. Also, music from all four ballet productions will be playing in the background of the must-attend food event.
Cost is $60 per person, $100 per couple. We couldn’t agree more that this event will truly be an evening of spectacular sights, sounds, tastes, and olfactory delights!
