Run for greatness this spring at the King Of Prussia Stomps Cancer 5K, Fun Run & Mascot Trot, benefiting the local non-profit the Great Guys Group! With a mere month before the Broad Street Run in Philadelphia, set your schedule to test your pace by running around the one and only King of Prussia Mall. Literally!
Great Guys Group is starting the 5K charity season off to a great start with a course set for running the perimeter of the King of Prussia Mall, starting at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Mall Boulevard. Join in the fun on Sunday, April 3 at 9AM. Pre-registration starts at 7:45AM at the Crowne, the 5K & Fun Run begins at 9:00AM, and the Mascot Trot for the kids begins at 9:45AM – RAIN OR SHINE.
Presented by the King of Prussia Mall, Crowne Plaza Hotel, and Upper Merion Township, and facilitated by Chester County Running Store, this is a great family fun event for all levels of endurance with participants choosing to run their preferred race, which includes a 5K run or 1.5 mile fun run/walk … all to benefit local cancer patients and their families that need support. For the kids there is an additional choice of running the Mascot Trot with some of our local team mascots such as West Chester University’s Rammy, the Drexel Dragon, Lasalle University’s Explorer, and many more!
For the first 500 runners, participants will receive a FREE Stomps Cancer running t-shirt and a reusable shopping bag from King of Prussia Mall with goodies from participating stores and merchants. The 5K and Fun Run start at 9:00AM and the Mascot Trot commences shortly after at 9:45. All runners are invited back to the Crowne Plaza for a free “Finish Line” healthy snack break as well as raffles, giveaways and award ceremonies following the race! This fun, exciting and unique event will be benefitting the non-profit organization, the Great Guys Group. The Great Guys Group financially and emotionally supports local cancer patients and their families by ensuring that these families are able to stay in their house, with the lights on, heat pumped up, phones working, and food on the table, despite the financial burdens that cancer brings. All funds raised for Great Guys stay right in the community and Bring Hope Home to cancer patients and their families right here at ‘home’.
