Memorial Day Weekend at Black Walnut Winery: Two Blues Days & One Pink Night

Join Black Walnut Winery for their first-ever blues festival!  Enjoy the blues on their gorgeous outdoor deck and patio of their Sadsburyville headquarters on Saturday and Sunday, May 28 and May 29, with no admission fee for these afternoon concerts. Wine tasting, wine by the glass and by the bottle will be available for purchase. Feel free to bring your own food, blanket or chair, but do note, no other alcohol is allowed on site.

The featured blues artist on Saturday, from 1 to 4pm, will be Sister Blue. As a Philly native, Sister Blue fronts a driving blues band, with powerful vocals and stinging guitar leads. Forno Inferno will also be on-site on Saturday making and selling artisan-style fresh brick oven pizzas.

Stay through the evening on Saturday and you’ll be part of a great night for an even greater cause, the Breast Cancer Awareness Benefit Concert, which will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Music by be performed by Holt 45 with special guest Kellina Holt of ECHO.

Tickets for this Saturday evening concert are $15 per person, and all are welcome to bring your own food. Black Walnut Winery will donate proceeds from ticket sales and fabulous raffle prizes to benefit Team Boobie Traps.

There will also be two blues artists on Sunday:  From 1 to 3pm, experience Scott Wham, with his mixture of blues, rock and soul, from the stripped down grooves of Motown to the high lonesome sounds of Appalachia; and from  3:30 to 5:30pm, John Costello who will offer finger-picking blues and spirituals, slide, bottleneck and solo harmonica. Chef John Mims from Daddy Mims Creole will be preparing fabulous barbecue on-site on Sunday, too.
