This past summer, French Culinary Institute graduate Chef Lila Colello of Main Line Philadelphia launched Brûlée Bakery, a mobile bakery committed to innovative and delicious desserts and baked goods made from fresh, all-natural, local ingredients.
Brûlée Bakery offers a wide variety of sweet treats such as cakes, cupcakes, muffins, cookies, sticky buns, brownies, tarts, pastries, and French macrons as well as a selection of savory baked goods including breads, croissants, and quiches.
Chef Lila’s scrumptious desserts and signature items are perfect for any occasion large or small — corporate events, birthdays, weddings, bridal or baby showers, breakfast, luncheons, brunch, and cocktail parties.
Brûlée Bakery can also accommodate some special requests and dietary restrictions such as dairy-free and gluten-free where possible.
“Brûlée Bakery uses the highest quality, local, farm-fresh and organic ingredients to give our customers a unique flavor experience.” says Chef Lila, whose experience includes stints with The Food Network and Wolfgang Puck. “For example, we use whole wheat flour in all of our pastries, but you would never know the difference taste-wise.”
As the 2010 James Beard Scholarship award winner, Chef Lila secured an internship from The Women Chefs and Restaurateurs’ Association with Amy’s Bread in NYC. Prior to launching Brûlée Bakery and attending French Culinary Institute in NYC, she ran her own catering company Meals on Heels.
Through November, you can find Brûlée Bakery at the Overbrook Farms Farmers Market every Saturday 9am-1pm at the corner of Lancaster Avenue and City Line Avenue. Chef Lila offers a different selection of her baked goods and desserts each week and can accommodate advanced orders for pick up.
Orders are accepted by phone any time and will deliver to your home or office year round with any selection from our full online menu.
