Ladies, mark your calendars and prepare your dancing shoes, grab your girlfriends and leave the kids with a babysitter. On Thursday, October 13th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. People’s Light and Threatre Company is casting for ladies who love to wine, dine, shop, dance and have a great night out with their girlfriends at the “Girls Night Out” FUNdraiser.
Kristin Bell Heisey, Director of Corporate Relations and Special Events has been planning this first time affair. “We were really looking for an event that could bring the community together, bring a lot of people who support the theatre here for something that was fun and a different kind of event.”
Main Line Dish will be snapping pictures of glamorous ladies on the red carpet of this event’s premiere as they enter the newly renovated The Farmhouse Bistro at the Theatre. The first act will include a light dinner of fiesta fajitas produced by The Farmhouse Bistro’s Executive Chef Craig Orlando, followed by a dessert sampler from Chef Craig, Cupcakes Gourmet and Doughmain Baked Goods.
Black Walnut Winery will be on hand to pour samples of three reds and three whites, guests can sample a range of locally-produced wines from dry to slightly sweet. Participants are encouraged to get a little naughty with an exclusive taste of their “Naughty Girl” special three bottle pack–Mischief, Sassy and Tryst–which will be released in a few weeks.
“We want to get more involved with the arts in Chester County, and having an opportunity to partner up with such a respected artists venue like People’s Light & Theatre Company was too good to pass up,” said Val Castle, Black Walnut Winery’s Proprietor and CFO.
Ladies can slow down with mini massages or speed up with Salsa lessons by People’s Light and Theatre’s resident coordinator and choreographer, Samantha Bellomo. The dancing doesn’t stop there, ladies can show off their new moves throughout the night thanks to the sounds of DJ Robbie C.
Need a jump start on your holiday shopping or just a pretty pick-me-up? In between bites and beats, women can shop for original artwork, clothing, gorgeous jewelry, purses, makeup and a very special “gifted hands” table featuring handmade items from theatre staff and patrons. Throughout the evening, lucky ladies have a chance of winning fabulous prizes from the evening’s vendors.
Proceeds from “Girls Night Out” benefit the Arts Discovery Program, the theatre’s award-winning set of educational programs that cultivates an appreciation for theatre amongst people from communities and schools throughout Chester, Montgomery and Delaware counties.
