Approaching its seventh year, The Brewer’s Plate is Fair Food’s marquee fundraising event, to be held on Sunday, March 13 at Penn Museum. Participants of the tasting festival include the area’s most celebrated restaurants, breweries, and local distilleries – all independently owned and located within 150 miles of the city.
New highlights for 2011’s festivities include a Speakeasy featuring upscale cocktails, sweets & chocolates and two expansive VIP tents veiling the beautiful Warden Garden.

The VIP Experience:
As a VIP ticket holder, you’ll receive a full hour of advance, private access to Brewer’s Plate’s complete offerings, beginning at 4 pm. At 5pm, when the event opens to the public, you’ll be welcomed into the Warden Garden where beneath a spacious tent, you’ll find comfortable seating, exclusive artisinal foods, tutored tastings and demonstrations, and live music. Here you’ll have the opportunity to meet your local farmers and producers, as well as local celebrity chefs Terrence Fury of Fork and Marcie Turney of 13th Street’s Barbuzzo, Lolita, and Bindi.
Whichever ticket you choose, your attendance supports Fair Food, a local nonprofit dedicated to bringing locally grown food to the marketplace and promoting a humane, sustainable agriculture system for the Philadelphia region.
