Victory Brewery Launches Video Contest, Concludes Brewery Tours, Introduces Take-Home Ice Cream Pints

The beer-brewing gang over at Victory Brewing Company have been busy through these summer months, and it isn’t just because they constantly are churning out some of the area’s most prized beers. Below is all the info you need to know to be up-to-date on the happenings of 420 Acorn Lane, some of which is sourced from their just-released monthly newsletter.

First-ever “Inspired” by Victory Video Contest

Victory wants to see what amazing things you can do when you’re Inspired by Victory. Submit a video up to two minutes in length featuring your favorite Victory beer, and show them the fantastical feats that those special suds inspire. Does Victory spark you to leap tall buildings in a single bound? Speak in verse? Bust a move? Release your inner Golden Monkey? Whatever it is, they want to see it and be inspired by you. Submit your video by Monday, Aug. 1, then get all of your friends to comment on the video, which will be posted at victorybeer.com. If you have the winning video, you’ll be $500 richer.

Public Brewery Tours Conclude

On June 21, Bill Covaleski, President and Co-Owner of Victory Brewing Company, announced that Victory Brewing Company will no longer be giving tours of its brewing facilities. The decision to discontinue tours was not one reached lightly. While visiting the brewery for a first-hand tour won’t be an option, the Victory team plans to give consumers a glimpse of the action through blog posts, videos and photos online. Read more ’bout concluding the tours over on Bill’s blog by clicking here.

New Bottle-Conditioned Belgian Ale to be Released in Fall

We know that there’s tons of summer left to experience, but Victory’s already planning on what you’ll be drinking when the fall breezes are satisfyingly present. Otto, a Belgian-style, bottle conditioned dubbel made with smoked malts is on the docket. More info here. (What’s also happening in fall? Downingtown FallFest presented by Victory! Be sure to save the date for the festivities on Sunday, October 2, 2011!)

Root Beer Available in Bottles

Victory’s been brewing root beer to serve on draft in their brewpub since 1997, but in May they started bottling the bubbly beverage for the first time. You can snag six-packs and cases in their retail shop. Better yet, they honored their root beer’s move to bottles with an appropriate T-shirt, too.

Take-Home Ice Cream Pints and Quarts Available

The ladies of DowningtownDish obsess over Victory’s Storm King Crunch ice cream that’s created with Storm King Stout wort and studded with crunchy choco malt balls. But, what’s even better than scoops of summer’s best creamy ice is if you request a Storm King Crunch float flooded with Storm King Stout.

While Victory’s pub has been premiering beer-infused ice creams for over a decade’s time, this summer they’ve conveniently made it available in to-go pints and quarts. Our favorite Storm King Crunch joins two other flavors (Triple Monkey, a peanut and caramel-swirled banana ice cream made with Golden Monkey wort and Hopped Up Devil, a cayenne and cinnamon ice cream punched with chocolate-covered coffee beans and made with Hop Devil wort) for all your ice cream party needs!
