Victory Brewing Company’s Summer Love Ale On Tap Again—And Now In Bottles

Due to overwhelming success in 2010, the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) and Victory Brewing Company will rerelease the wildly popular Summer Love Ale this summer. After first doubling, then tripling the batches of the golden brew last year, Victory now will distribute the ale at bars, brewpubs, restaurants and grocery stores in 29 states nationwide starting May 2011. New this year, Summer Love Ale will also be available for purchase in bottles at beer distributors, so customers can enjoy the Chester County-brewed beverage at home.

Last summer, Philadelphia’s destination marketing organization teamed up with the Downingtown, Pennsylvania-based brewery to take the successful With Love, Philadelphia XOXO® initiative from campaign to consumer experience. By partnering on a local, specialty crafted beer—with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine Creek water—GPTMC capitalizes on the region’s rich brewing history and entices craft brew aficionados to visit the region to taste it for themselves.

“Summer Love Ale is a product of a love affair between a city and its beer,” says Meryl Levitz, president and CEO of GPTMC. “And between a brewery and its city,” adds Bill Covaleski, brewmaster at Victory.

Locations serving Summer Love Ale will be announced on visitphilly.com/victory as they are added.

The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) makes Philadelphia and The Countryside® a premier destination through marketing and image building that increases business and promotes the region’s vitality.
