Join Appetites on Main this Saturday, September 22nd from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. for their Fourth Annual Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day. Guests are invited to eat, drink, and enjoy good company for a wonderful cause.
The event is held in honor of late owner David Weinstein who passed away in 2008 from a battle with pancreatic cancer. David Weinstein founded Appetite’s Delight in Wayne, the Big Easy Saloon in Paoli and Appetites on Main in Exton with his son Brad Weinstein, who still runs the operation today.
Appetites donates 10% of proceeds from the entire day to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. 100% of proceeds from the day’s raffle will go towards the cause. Items include autographed sports memorabilia, grill, tickets, gift certificates to local businesses and more.
One of their most popular dishes during the event is inspired by the late founder. The Dave W. is a hot corned beef and pastrami on Jewish rye with spicy mustard, Swiss cheese and tomato. Also among diners’ favorites is the Waffle and Ice Cream, a Belgian waffle topped with a tower of ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream and a cherry. Appetites on Main is also known for their NOLA fries and offers a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, and burgers.
It’s easy to contribute. Stop in and eat with friends and family, like you would any other day. There is plenty of beer, cocktail options and live music to keep the crowd going all day. Donating never tasted so good!
