This is not your average Garden Party. Aside from the stellar line up of vendors participating and the celebrity judging sponsored by yours truly, PA Eats, this year’s Garden Party is particularly special as it marks 10 years of the Brandywine Health Foundation, 20 years of the Brandywine Consignment Shop and 40 years of the Strawberry Festival.
Guests are invited to partake in the celebration by enjoying a light supper, cocktails and the popular “Battle of the Berries at Brandywine” where the county’s finest restaurants will go toque to toque for the most divine dessert. Restaurants set to compete for 2012 include Amani’s BYOB, Avalon Pasta Bistro/Avalon Restaurant, Firecreek Restaurant, Northbrook MarketPlace, Station Taproom, and impressive 10 year participants, Duling-Kurtz House & Country Inn and the General Warren Inne.
The event will take place on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 5:30 – 8 pm at Anne and Michael Moran’s spectacular property, Applestone Farm in West Marlborough Township, the venue for the popular Pennsylvania Hunt Cup. Please note that the party is under a tent in a beautiful field – comfortable shoes are encouraged! Valet parking will be available upon entering Applestone Farm.
You can grab directions to the lovely venue HERE.
Proceeds support the foundation’s work with the Coatesville Youth Initiative and the Health Care Safety Net, providing medical, dental and behavioral health services for the uninsured and underinsured in the greater Coatesville area. Special recognition will also be given to a Coatesville Youth Initiative high school senior chosen to be the first recipient of the Harry Lewis, Jr. Scholarship.
Sponsors are always welcome. For more information visit the website or please contact Dana Heiman at 610-380-9080 ext. 102.
