Celebrate The Kentucky Derby with Wayne Hotel’s Paramour

You don’t have to pay a hefty price and travel miles upon miles for a glimpse of the Kentucky Derby. All that jazz will await your enjoyment at The Wayne Hotel’s Paramour (139 East Lancaster Avenue) on Saturday, May 5 from 3 until 6 pm. This year marks the first Annual Kentucky Derby Party on the Veranda and you won’t want to miss it.

Grab your hats  and sport coats and be prepared for a blast into the past of Southern horse racing. The sophisticated restaurant and bar will offer complimentary passed hors d’oeuvres and miniature mint juleps, plus prizes throughout the afternoon including best his-and-hers hats, a Derby tradition.Tickets to the Kentucky Derby Party are free, but guests must pick them up in person at Paramour before April 27th.

This event will serve as the kick-off to the spring and summer season on the Veranda, home to the Main Line’s newest and best al fresco dining. The comfortable Veranda will host dining from 11:30 a.m. until close daily throughout the warm weather months, ideal for enjoying the restaurant’s modern American menu and extensive selection of wine, beer and cocktails.

“The Kentucky Derby is the official start of the warm weather season in the south, and we’re thrilled to bring the excitement of the race to Wayne with this fashionable event,” says Executive Chef Michael Giampa. “We’ll have a photographer on hand to snap photos of guests’ best Derby attire.”

For those truly interested in the race and not only worried about glitz, glamour and socializing, you have nothing to worry about! The pre-race festivities and the main event itself will broadcast at the bar on Paramour’s two flat-screen TVs.
